These terms explain exactly what you are purchasing when you join Kenora Play Café as one of our Original 50 Founding Families.
Your $89 payment purchases a Founding Family Membership and reserves one of the 50 Original 50 spots.
The payment is applied to your first month of membership beginning on Opening Day. It is not an additional registration fee.
This purchase is not a donation, loan, investment or crowdfunding contribution. It does not provide ownership, equity, profit-sharing, management authority or voting rights in Kenora Play Café.
You may cancel your Founding Family Membership at any time before Opening Day and receive a full refund.
No explanation is required. There are no cancellation fees, administrative fees or payment-processing deductions.

Include the name and email address used when purchasing. You do not need to provide a reason.
Your request is effective when your email is sent. We will initiate your refund to the original payment method within five business days. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to display the refund.
If our opening is delayed, this refund guarantee remains in effect until Opening Day.
If we decide not to open Kenora Play Café, all pre-opening membership payments will be refunded automatically.
Receiving a refund cancels your Founding Family Membership and releases your spot as one of the Original 50.
If you decide to join again later, membership will be subject to the pricing and availability offered at that time. Your previous Founding Family spot and $89 rate will not be guaranteed.
“Opening Day” means the first day that Kenora Play Café makes regular membership play available to Founding Families.
A private preview, test event, construction tour, invitation-only gathering or Founding Family pre-opening celebration does not count as Opening Day and will not trigger another membership payment.
We will notify Founding Families by email at least 14 days before Opening Day.
The Founding Family Membership includes:
Providing feedback does not create ownership or voting rights. Final business and operating decisions remain with Kenora Play Café.
“Unlimited family play” means there is no set monthly limit on regular play visits. Entry may still be subject to operating hours, temporary closures, safety requirements and the café’s legal capacity.
Food, drinks, birthday parties, private rentals, retail purchases and specially ticketed events are not included unless we specifically state otherwise.
Your initial $89 payment covers your first month beginning on Opening Day.
Your second $89 payment will be charged one month after Opening Day. Future payments will be charged monthly using the payment method provided at checkout.
The Founding Family rate will remain $89 per month for as long as your membership remains continuously active.
Before completing your purchase, the checkout page will clearly state whether applicable taxes are included in or added to the $89 price.
After Opening Day, you may cancel your membership at any time by emailing KenoraPlayCafe@gmail.com.
Your cancellation will stop future monthly payments. Unless required otherwise by law, payments for a membership month that has already begun are not partially refunded. You may continue using the membership until the end of the period already paid for.
Cancelling after Opening Day ends your Founding Family membership. If you later rejoin, the $89 Founding Family rate may no longer be available.
Our final location, opening date, hours, play areas, café offerings and operating procedures may change as the project develops.
We will not increase the Founding Family monthly price or materially remove the core membership benefits without notifying you.
Until Opening Day, you can always choose a full refund if the final plans no longer work for your family.
Before using the facility, families may be required to accept reasonable safety rules, supervision requirements and a facility waiver.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising their children unless Kenora Play Café expressly offers a separate supervised program.
Operating rules cannot remove your pre-opening refund rights or contradict the core purchase terms described on this page.
These terms do not limit any rights you have under Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act or other applicable laws.
If any part of these terms conflicts with a mandatory consumer protection requirement, the legal requirement will apply.
